Return and Refunds Policy

At Custom Cube Crafters, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of shipping containers and Tiny House Capsules. This Return and Refunds Policy outlines the process for returning Products and obtaining refunds, crafted with California law in mind. By purchasing from us, you agree to these terms, which ensure fairness and compliance with state regulations.

1. Return Eligibility

• Timeframe: You may return eligible Products within 30 calendar days from the date of delivery, as confirmed by our shipping carrier.

• Condition: Products must be unused, undamaged, and in their original condition (e.g., no modifications, dents, or added wear beyond delivery). Custom Products (e.g., modified Tiny House Capsules) are exempt unless defective.

• Proof of Purchase: A receipt, order confirmation, or invoice is required for all returns.

2. Non-Returnable Items

• Custom Orders: Tiny House Capsules or containers with modifications (e.g., windows, insulation) are non-returnable unless defective, per California law for custom-made goods (Cal. Civ. Code § 1792.2).

• As-Is Products: Used containers sold “as-is” are final sale unless they fail to meet the described condition.

• Shipping Fees: Delivery costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

3. Return Process

1. Initiate a Return: Contact us within 30 days of delivery at sales@customcubecrafters.com or (+1) 504-206-6361 with your order number and reason for return.

2. Approval: We’ll review your request within 2–3 business days and, if approved, provide a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and shipping instructions.

3. Inspection: Returns are inspected within 5 business days of receipt. We’ll notify you of the outcome via email.

4. Refund Eligibility

• Standard Returns: For eligible returns, we’ll refund the Product price (minus any restocking fee) if received in original condition.

• Defective or Incorrect Items: If your Product arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, we’ll cover return shipping and provide a full refund or replacement, per California Civil Code § 1792.

• Cancellation Before Shipment: Orders canceled within 24 hours of purchase are fully refundable, minus a $50 processing fee. After 24 hours but before shipment, a 10% restocking fee applies.

5. Restocking Fee

A 10% restocking fee may apply to standard returns (excluding defective/incorrect items) to cover handling and restocking costs, as permitted under California law for discretionary return policies.

6. Refund Processing

• Timeframe: Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned Product, per California Civil Code § 1723.

• Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method. If unavailable, we’ll issue a check mailed to your billing address.

• Sales Tax: Applicable California sales tax is refunded with the Product price.

7. Defective or Damaged Products

• Reporting: Notify us within 7 days of delivery at sales@customcubecrafters.com with photos and a description of the issue.

• Resolution: We’ll offer a replacement, repair, or full refund at our discretion, compliant with California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.

• Warranty: New Products include a 1-year structural warranty; used Products have a 30-day guarantee.

8. Shipping Damage

Inspect your container upon delivery. If damaged during shipping, report it to the carrier and us within 7 days. We’ll assist with claims and provide a resolution per California law.

9. California Consumer Rights

Under California law, you have rights to fair treatment, accurate product descriptions (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17500), and prompt refunds for defective goods (Cal. Civ. Code § 1723). For defective Products, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness may apply unless waived for “as-is” sales.
