At Custom Cube Crafters, we take pride in designing and fabricating high-quality custom builds—from modular furniture and tiny homes to fully customized container structures. This Warranty Policy explains the scope, limitations, and application of warranties on products sold by Custom Cube Crafters. It is designed to reflect the bespoke, made-to-order nature of our work while remaining clear, fair, and transparent.
All warranties apply to purchases made and delivered within the United States.
General Warranty Principles
Our products are custom-crafted, often using industrial materials and repurposed components. Warranty coverage focuses on structural integrity, workmanship, and functional operation—not cosmetic appearance, normal wear, or changes resulting from environmental exposure.
Warranty coverage varies based on:
- Product type (furniture, container conversion, modular structure, etc.)
- Material sourcing (new vs. repurposed/used materials)
- Scope of fabrication (full custom build vs. partial modification)
- Customer-provided components (where applicable)
Warranty by Product Category
1. New Custom-Built Structures & Container Conversions
(Full builds using new or one-trip containers with custom interiors, electrical, plumbing, and finishes)
Coverage:
- Structural warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 1 year from delivery/installation
- Doors, windows, locking mechanisms, and seal systems functioning as intended at time of handover
- Electrical and plumbing systems installed by us are warranted for proper function at delivery
Exclusions:
- Cosmetic imperfections (minor scratches, dents, or paint variations from handling or transport)
- Normal wear and tear from use
- Damage caused by improper site preparation, foundation issues, or environmental factors (e.g., flooding, extreme weather)
- Modifications, alterations, or repairs made by third parties without prior written approval
- Components not supplied by Custom Cube Crafters (e.g., customer-provided appliances or fixtures)
2. Custom Furniture & Interior Fit-Outs
(Tables, shelving, countertops, cabinetry, modular walls, etc.)
Coverage:
- Workmanship warranty against structural failure (e.g., joint separation, material delamination) for 1 year from delivery
- Finishes and sealants are warranted against defects in application at time of delivery
Exclusions:
- Surface scratches, scuffs, or fading from normal use
- Damage from improper cleaning products, moisture exposure, or excessive weight loading
- Natural variations in wood grain, color, or patina (these are inherent to natural materials)
- Assembly or disassembly by the customer after delivery
3. Refurbished / Repurposed Container Modifications
(Used containers with targeted refurbishment—e.g., new doors, windows, paint, or flooring)
Coverage:
- Warranty is limited to the specific refurbishment work performed (e.g., new weld points, coating, installed openings) for 6 months from delivery
- Structural integrity of the original container at time of delivery
Exclusions:
- Pre-existing rust, dents, or wear consistent with the container’s prior service life
- Surface condition (paint, scratches, or cosmetic appearance)
- Any issues arising from modifications not performed by Custom Cube Crafters
4. As-Is / Project-Grade Items
(Items sold for repurposing, artistic use, or secondary applications with no structural modifications)
Coverage:
- None. Sold strictly “as-is” with all faults.
- Buyers assume all risk regarding condition, suitability, and safety.
- No warranty, express or implied, applies except where explicitly required by law.
5. Customer-Supplied Materials or Components
If you provide materials, appliances, or components for integration into your custom build:
Coverage:
- We warrant our installation workmanship only
- We do not warrant the performance, durability, or compatibility of customer-supplied items
- Any issues arising from third-party components must be handled directly with the supplier/manufacturer
Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems
For custom builds that include electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, or other mechanical systems:
Coverage:
- Systems installed by Custom Cube Crafters are warranted for proper function and code compliance at time of delivery/installation
- Duration: 1 year for workmanship on installed systems
Important Notes:
- Warranties on specific appliances, HVAC units, generators, or water heaters are covered by their respective manufacturers—we will provide documentation upon request
- Improper power supply, unauthorized modifications, or lack of routine maintenance void coverage
- Systems must be commissioned and maintained per provided guidelines
Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim:
- Notify us in writing within 7 days of discovering the issue
- Provide your order number, project description, and photographic/video evidence of the defect
- Do not attempt to repair, modify, or disassemble the product before we have responded—doing so may void your warranty
- We will respond within 5 business days to coordinate:
- Remote troubleshooting
- On-site inspection (if applicable)
- Repair, replacement, or manufacturer referral
Limitations of Liability
Warranty remedies are limited to:
- Repair of the defective workmanship or component
- Replacement (where feasible and applicable)
- Pro-rated credit in certain circumstances (at our sole discretion)
We do not cover:
- Consequential or incidental damages (e.g., loss of use, business interruption, project delays, lost inventory)
- Costs related to relocation, reinstallation, or site preparation
- Travel or shipping costs for warranty service beyond 50 miles from our workshop (additional fees may apply)
Buyer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty coverage, you agree to:
- Ensure proper site preparation, foundation, and environmental conditions before delivery/installation
- Follow all care, maintenance, and operation guidelines provided
- Not modify, alter, or repair the product without our prior written consent
- Use the product only for its intended design purpose (not for extreme or commercial overuse)
Warranty is void if:
- The product is modified without authorization
- Improper lifting, placement, or anchoring occurs
- Use exceeds intended design parameters (e.g., structural overloading, electrical overdraw)
- Neglect, abuse, or accidental damage occurs post-delivery
Legal Compliance
This policy does not override rights provided under applicable U.S. federal or state law. Any implied warranties required by law are limited in duration to the extent permitted.
